Birds of ALL Feathers will be hosted at the Mountsberg Raptor Centre. Included with Gate Fee:Roving Raptors: Meet and greet resident birds along with their handlers between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm.Rainbow enrichment: Watch resident raptors show their PRIDE engaging in handmade enrichment items. These two powerhouse queens will lead the way through an evening filled with jaw-dropping performances, fierce fashion, and so much heart. Alongside them, the stunning Kara Melle will bring her charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent, while the dazzling Rosie is sure to light up the stage with her charm and flair. It’s a celebration of love, inclusivity, and self-expression—come for the show, stay for the fun, and let’s make this Pride the most fabulous one yet! While you’re at the Centre, be sure to explore our juried art exhibition featuring the work of youth and adults who identify as 2SLGBTQIA+ community members. The theme for this year’s exhibition is “Be Creative, Be You, Be All In!” The exhibition is featured in the Parkview Gallery from June 17 to July 5, 2025. Kat Honey, our juror, will be awarding prizes at the reception and awards ceremony at 7:45 pm. Kat Honey is an award-winning graduate of OCAD. Often bold (but sometimes subtle), Kat’s work in collage, signage and painting is informed by her graphic design background. Recent exhibitions include: The Red Head Gallery, Gladstone House’s Come Up to My Room, In Situ Multi-Arts Festival, Artist Project 2023 & 2024, 1 Adelaide East, Quest Art, Midland, and Fashion Art Toronto Fall/Winter 2023. Kat designed and illustrated Bright Fish, a book of poetry by the late Lavell Ferris Baldock. She also designed a neon installation for Gladstone House (fabricated by FUSE Neon), has 3 collage prints in Newmarket’s Postmark Hotel, and has work in all suites and corridors of the newly-renovated Union Hotel in Toronto. While you’re at the Centre, participate in our button- and bracelet-making activities and visit our Resident Groups in Studio C. All workshops and activities are free of charge and take place at 56 Neilson Drive in Etobicoke. This is an all ages and accessible event. We’ll have snacks and beverages and special Pride cupcakes made with love by Bake Sale, our community partner and local bakery! With queer and allied clergy leading a beautiful Kabbalat Shabbat service, a delicious kosher dinner, and opportunities to celebrate both our LGBTQ+ and Jewish identities, this is a night you won’t want to miss. Pride Shabbat 2025 will take place at the Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre, located at 750 Spadina Ave, where we will gather as a diverse Jewish community to celebrate our LGBTQ+ Jewish wholeness. This event is organized by a coalition of organizations who are committed to working towards LGBTQ+ inclusion in all aspects of Jewish life. This event centers LGBTQ+ Jewish community members. Allies to both Jewish and LGBTQ+ communities are more than welcome to join us. Families are encouraged to bring children, with programming offered by Machane Lev during the service for those aged 6-17. Services will be led by Cantor Cheryl Wunch, Cantor Steve Zeidenberg, and Aviva Chernick. Tickets cost $36 for adults and $18 for children. If this cost is prohibitive to your attendance, you are welcome to self-select from our barrier-free reduced-price options. We likewise invite those who are able to sponsor a community member’s attendance to offset the cost of their ticket.
