BQC Presents: ‘All Inna di pot – Watch us cook’, a stage for Toronto’s black queer and trans youth to spice up Pride Toronto. This year’s BQC stage will be a recipe for your soul, featuring DJ sets, rappers, drag kings, and R&B vocalists. Come out and show some love to Toronto’s only stage for black up-and-coming queer and trans performers. We’re black, we’re queer, and we’re doing what we do best – turning up the heat. So, baby, come and watch us cook.

For the past couple of years, I've served as stage manager and curator for BQC, and I'm also a founder of my Kiki Haus base in Toronto and the Overseer of mainstream counterpart in DC. Outside of my regular commitments, I dedicate my time to training kids, conducting one-on-one sessions, and leading Ballroom workshops around Canada. As part of the Kiki Ballroom Community engagement team, I organize kiki balls, events, and gigs for the ballroom community. Ii work part time and full time Yes two jobs if Im not doing any of those I'm practicing my skills with music and acting

One of toronto’s hottest diva Slimthick Monroe made her debut at Sodom in June 2012 at Sodom is Burning where she dazzled the crowd who literally bowed before her as she hit the stage. She then played a sexy Studio 54 diva at Sodom Warhol where she mowed down Andy Warhol with a machine gun. Slimthick Monroe has been a member House of Monroe since 2011 and in 2019 became GodMother Monroe. She has competed many times in Toronto’s ballroom scene as well as at the Latex Ball in New York. Categories she often enters include body and best dressed. Slimthick was born in Trinidad but grew up in New York City. She moved to Toronto at age 15. She is involved in community development though the Toronto Kiki Ballroom Alliance as Mother Pinklady of the Iconic International KiKi House of PinkLady, a youth-led organization that builds self-confidence by using ballroom arts including voguing and runway and the newly appointed GodMother of the first Canadian Mainstream Ballroom House. The House Of Monroe. She is also part of the Woman, Butch and Trans Ballroom Coalition, an organization that helps marginalized people in the ballroom scene. Also becoming her own ambassador as BLACK GRRL MAGIK embracing the "Big Gurl" culture. Letting everyone know that she is here to be seen and heard regardless of how you feel...... especially about her size.

Born in Jamaica in 1991 and relocating to Canada at the age of 12, Shawn Castell grew up immersed in a rich tapestry of cultures that shaped their musical journey. Introduced to music at a young age by their mother, a local artist, they discovered a passion that would lead them to become a prominent DJ. Since starting their DJ career at 17, DJ Bigg Biggz has consistently broken boundaries and shattered stereotypes in a male-dominated and often homophobic industry, particularly within the dancehall scene. As a four-time DJ clash winner, they have proven that talent, skill, and passion transcend societal norms and expectations. DJ Bigg Biggz is a testament to the belief that music is for everyone, regardless of background or identity. With a vibrant presence, DJ Bigg Biggz has performed across Canada and the Caribbean, bringing their unique sound to audiences far and wide. They are also deeply committed to giving back to the community, having participated in numerous charity events, including the Children’s Society, Eva’s Initiative, and the Boys and Girls Club. Their dedication to making a positive impact as a Black queer artist is unwavering, as they strive to uplift and inspire others in the music industry. Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, hip hop artist and songwriter NeneGlamorous has always cherished her natural passion for creating music through lyrics and interpreting music through dance. NeneGlamorous is on the scene and ready for a full takeover! Throughout the exploration of her musical passions, NeneGlamorous has shown exceptional growth and knowledge of the entertainment industry over the years. A three-time featured Sunshine Girl model in one of Canada’s most widely circulated publications—The Toronto Sun newspaper. NeneGlamorous is also known as NeneGlam. Her unique sound very much reflects her versatile lifestyle with a mix of various sounds including pop, hip hop, rnb, house, afro beats & reggae. Fearlessly pushing boundaries in the rap and hip-hop scene, he’s an innovative force, redefining Toronto’s sound. Wearing his heart on his sleeve in his single “Peace”, off his new SoundCloud Exclusive mixtape “Healed”. This star is on the rise! King’s journey as an artist is just beginning, and he’s set to make a lasting impact on the music industry.

Haviah Mighty didn’t need to change her birth name when she decided to dedicate her career to music. Mighty could not better describe Haviah’s craft of provocative challenges and uncompromising truths. Based out of Brampton via Toronto, Haviah has spent a lifetime developing her skills as a songwriter, vocalist, producer, and performer, culminating in a style of profound introspection and incisive socio-political critique. Her dynamic combinations of rap, song, and instrumental transition seamlessly from hip-hop to soul to afrobeats with a meticulous flow and cadence that transcends any traditional expectation of genre. 2019 saw Haviah earn break-out success with her album, 13th Floor, making her the first hip-hop artist and the first Black woman to win the Polaris Music Prize, celebrating the “Best Canadian Album of the Year” - but Mighty didn’t stop there. With her JUNO Award-winning mixtape, Stock Exchange (Nov. 2021), Haviah made history once again as the first woman to ever win within the Rap Album of the Year category. Most recently, Haviah was the only Canadian nominee at the 2022 BET Hip-Hop Awards within the 'Best International Flow' category. Recognition has spread internationally, garnering praise from the likes of Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, GRM Daily, FADER, Hot New Hip Hop, and so many more. In November of 2023 Haviah was featured on the viral song Trendsetter by Connor Price. The song to date has amassed more than 36 million streams world wide.
