Toronto offers Sexual Health Clinics, which include free and confidential clinical services like birth control counselling, STI testing and treatment, pregnancy testing, and abortion services.

The Progress Flag

Pride Toronto flies the Progress Flag, symbolizing various facets of the LGBTQI+ community. The chevron pattern on the left side of the flag includes elements representing the intersex community, the trans community, and the experiences of 2SLGBTQI+ People of Colour. 

The specific coloured stripes each have their designated meanings.

Demystifying 2SLGBTQI+

The acronym “2SLGBTQI+” stands for Two Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer, Intersex, with the “+” emphasizing the diversity and inclusivity of the community.

Understanding and Respecting Pronouns

Pronouns can replace nouns in sentences and are critical for gender identity expression. Examples include “She/Her,” “They/Them,” “He/Him,” etc. Consistently using the correct pronouns shows respect for individuals’ identities.

We prioritize using language that includes everyone, regardless of gender or sexuality.  Our communication is mindful and acknowledges all identities.
