Rainbow Radiance
Caddy Superville was born and raised in Toronto with a mixed heritage of Trinidadian, Chinese and European. She has been dancing since she was about 5 years old inspired by the dancers on Much Music and B.E.T. She began her education at the Flemingdon Park Community Centre learning hip hop and dancehall. She started her more in depth training at the age of 13 at The Toronto Dance Industry, dancing both competitively and recreationally. From there she received a scholarship to learn from some of the top Choreographer’s in Toronto,
including; Luther Brown, Mariano, and Jennifer Mote to name a few. Caddy has trained in Toronto, Montreal, New York and L.A in multiple styles including; Hip Hop, Waacking, Jazz Funk, House, Dancehall and Samba.
Caddy has danced with companies such as The York University Street Dance Team, “Style-Wize”, Dark Dance, Nexx Level, Boss and Gadfly where she was able to further her training and experience as a dancer and performer. She had the opportunity of performing on Much Music’s NML Live, the Urban Canadian Music Awards and at Canada’s Walk of Fame with her dance crew, DEUCEnDIP. Caddy is currently training and performing with the following companies; Footnotes Academy, Drey’s Dance Academy, Bix Co Blog and In Tha Groove.
Caddy has performed in a couple of musicals written and directed by Alinka Chambers called, “At Last” and “Mute” where she played the lead role and leading role respectively, making her a triple threat. She has also performed in the GTA dancing for several artists including but not limited to PSY, Kiesza, Anjulie, Anirudh, Teria and Choclair. Caddy has had the opportunity of working with so many talented choreographers & mentors in the industry such as; Scott
Fordham, Apolonia Velasquez, Tanisha Scott, Mel Charlot, Kim Gingras and many more. Caddy has also choreographed for local artists including; Gina Lee, ALSNDRA, Haley Smalls, Jennie Laws, Getchnah, Mellee Fresh and more. She has created pieces and sets that were a part of the following shows and community events: The Fringe Festival, Outside Looking In, Unite Dance, Pride along with other festivals.
Over ten years ago, Caddy found her love for Waacking and dived deep into the culture, history and studies of this unique style of dance. She has had the opportunity of training with professionals around the world including; Tyrone Proctor, Princess Lockeroo, Kumari Suraj, Billy Goodson, Viktor Manoel, and Axelle Munezero to name a few. She has entered numerous Waacking battles in and outside of the country often placing in the top 16 and other times
winning first place. In 2024 she travelled to Peru to represent Canada with her Waacking team at The Waacking World Festival. Caddy is grateful to have had the opportunity to learn so much about this culture and started to share her knowledge with her community. She has taught Waacking classes at; Millennium Dance Complex, The Underground Dance Centre, Dancelifex, City Centre Dance, Studio North and has shared her Waacking knowledge through workshops all around Canada. Caddy is truly passionate about the culture and style of Waacking as it has helped her along her journey in getting to know herself and how to express authentically. She intends to continue growing in her learning and sharing her knowledge with the community.
From 2019 - 2023, Caddy performed for Carnival Cruise-lines as a dancer and singer entertaining thousands of people around the world. Caddy will continue to entertain and share her passions with the world by shining her light and sharing her infectious energy wherever she goes.
