Now in its 38th year as one of the premiere jazz festivals in North America, the Toronto Jazz Festival returns this summer from June 20 – June 29. From ticketed performances at Toronto’s best venues and hallowed jazz haunts, to countless FREE outdoor performances in Yorkville, the Festival offers 10 days of a wide range of music all set with the city of Toronto as its backdrop. Music fans can enjoy the best of Jazz and genres including Funk, Swing, Hip-Hop, Big Band, Brazilian, Klezmer, R&B and more. Highlights this year include ticketed performances by renowned artists including the iconic Mavis Staples (June 23), prolific drummer Makaya McCraven (June 25), the sublime Arooj Aftab (June 24) and hometown indie rock legends Broken Social Scene (June 21) and an historic evening of music celebrating the African Canadian artists who have made invaluable contributions to the Toronto music community.
