“Join us for the annual RAINBOW SENIORS event, proudly presented by Pride Toronto and The Rekai LTC Centres, in partnership with the Senior Pride Network and Buddies in Bad Times Theatre.

We’re thrilled to announce the 2025 collaboration between Buddies in Bad Times and Senior Pride Network! This year, our theme “All In” celebrates unity, inclusion, and strength within the 2SLGBTQI+ community, while honoring Our seniors who have paved the way for future generations.
A special thank you to TD, our financial partner for the past two years, for their continued support.

This event fosters intergenerational connections and sharing of lived experiences, showcasing the resilience and joy of Rainbow Seniors. Enjoy a vibrant, FREE celebration featuring performances by local artists, including drag acts, delicious food, ice cream, henna artistry, door prizes, and more! Attendees can also connect with advocacy and social organizations making a difference for the 2SLGBTQI+ community.

Relentless

Alphonso King Jr (aka Jade Elektra & DJ Relentless) is a Toronto-based "out" HIV+ Queer African-American Drag Entertainer, Recording Artist/Vocalist, Film/Stage/Television Actor and HIV Activist originally from Tampa, Florida via New York City and finally found a home in Toronto in 2009. Through his performances and recordings he has made a name for himself as one of Toronto’s grass-roots fundraiser for many AIDS Services Organizations. With a start in radio back in 1980 (WMNF 88.5) with his uncle, Alphonso learned the importance of programming and then moved on to DJ-ing in bars and private events. The key to his great resume has been his versatile and knowledgeable tastes in music. From Disco to New Wave to Pop to House to Club to Hip Hop and even some Country, Reggae and Latin….he has spun it all over his years. King is also one half of iUnderground Records out of New York City and serves as Executive Producer on many of the label’s project. His latest on June 23rd 2023 was the Pride iUnderground E.P. that features all LGBTQ2+ artists. Born in Havana, Joan Yasnier Guerra San Juan’s life has been defined by dance. From the age of 5, he immersed himself in rhythm, mastering Afro-Cuban and Latin styles that honor his heritage. Trained at the Avellaneda National Theater in Havana, Joan refined his skills in Classical and Contemporary Dance, blending tradition with innovation. His electrifying performances, full of energy and resilience, have captivated audiences worldwide. A humble student of dance, Joan continues to push his artistic boundaries. His journey is a testament to dance’s power to unite and inspire, celebrating culture and heritage through movement.

With a mesmerizing fusion of belly dance's fluidity and drag's vibrant theatricality, Queer of Sheba captivates audiences, creating spaces where authenticity and diversity are celebrated. Their work is not only a form of entertainment but a powerful statement of identity, resilience and pride.

Mandy Goodhandy aka Amanda Taylor is a singer/recording artist, entertainer, author and Canada’s 1st trans woman stand- up comic. She was also the first trans woman singer to be accepted into the TO Jazz Festival 2016. Mandy co-owned and operated 120 Diner & Club120 in Toronto. She and her business partner at the time, Todd Klinck were also TO Pride Parade Grand Marshals in 2010. She performs music concerts & comedy at many Toronto venues and is also a popular choice as an accomplished speaker

Mónica Garrido Huerta

Mónica Garrido Huerta

Monica Garrido Huerta (she/her) is a Queer Dora-nominated bilingual Artist, a new Canadian from Monterrey, Nuevo León based in Tkaronto. Her short films have premiered at the InsideOut LGBT Film Festival. Her solo show “The Cunning Linguist”, was created at Emerging Creator Unit at Buddies In Bad Times Theatre and won the 2016 Queer Acts Audience Award is currently in development. Monica has appeared in commercials, music videos and TV in shows such as Baroness Von Sketch Show and The Horror of Dolores Roach. She’s part of the ensemble of the Canadian Comedy Award winning show Sketch Comedy Extravaganza Eleganza. Monica is the 2018 recipient of the Queer Emerging Artist Award at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre. She is one third of the Latine Drag King boyband “Boyband the Boyband”. Currently, you can see her every weekend as the newest member of the Second City Touring Company in “The Best of Second City”. She is also a Taurus and wishes you the best.
