B. The City

B. The City (she/her) is a queer Latin DJ located in Toronto. Founder of Shorty DJ Hotline collective, she aims to highlight and promote queer womxn of colour. She curated a stage for Pride Toronto in 2024 that had artists from various communities and ethnicities. B. recognizes the significance of providing a platform for womxn identifying DJs because they are widely underrepresented in this cis-male hetero-normative society. Her Latin heritage is prevalent in her sets while also paying homage to the diverse cultures the city encompasses. Her influence comes from countries all over the world such as Brazil, South Africa, Netherlands, Jamaica, El Salvador any so many more.
