ABOUT THIS EVENT

Family Pride is a joyful and inclusive space celebrating the strength and uniqueness of 2SLGBTQI+ families. Family Pride offers a vibrant environment where parents, caregivers and children (up to age 12) can connect, play, and celebrate together. This year we embrace the theme “All In,” as we highlight solidarity, unity, and advocacy—reminding us to show up for each other, lift each other up, and demonstrate unwavering support for our community. Expect a weekend filled with live music, storytelling, arts and crafts, interactive performances, and family-friendly entertainment, all designed to create a welcoming and affirming space for 2SLGBTQI+ families.
Lukas Stark

Lukas Stark

Boldly queer and unapologetically fabulous, Lukas Stark invites you into a world where comedy, mystery, and daring stunts collide! A professional mentalist and circus performer, they craft unforgettable experiences blending mind-bending mentalism, jaw-dropping escapes, and fire-eating spectacles—all delivered with a razor-sharp wit and a delightfully campy twist. From corporate events to street festivals, Lukas has been dazzling audiences across Canada, weaving queer joy and boundary-pushing creativity into every show. As the producer of a monthly vaudeville variety show in Toronto, they bring together diverse performers to celebrate the weird, the wonderful, and the wildly entertaining. Whether mingling with guests or commanding the stage, Lukas creates performances that are equal parts hilarious, thrilling, and deeply queer.

Bex in Motion

Bex in Motion

Take a spin with Bex in Motion! Bex is a unique performer who combines fire, comedy, acrobatics, juggling, and impressive hula hoop tricks in her show. After discovering hoop dance in an after-school program during teachers' college, Bex and her hoop have been inseparable. She can now spin up to 50 hula hoops at once! Drawing from her teaching background and years of working with children, Bex creates fun, family-friendly shows that entertain all ages. Her lighthearted attitude and ability to involve the audience make each performance special. Bex has performed across Canada and internationally on four continents, with highlights including the Toronto Raptors NBA halftime show, the Canadian National Exhibition, and New Zealand’s Southland Busker Festival, one of the closest cities in the world to Antarctica. The name "Bex in Motion" reflects her love for movement and her degree in kinesiology. Her shows are inspired by her yoga, gymnastics, and kinesiology training. Bex enjoys performing for audiences large and small and is available for festivals, events, and more. Follow her on instagram @bexinmotionshow!

Fay and Fluffy’s Drag Story Time

Fay and Fluffy’s Drag Story Time

Drag stars Fay Slift + Fluffy Soufflé have been doing drag story times since June 2016. They have been fortunate to do so many local events at some of Toronto’s biggest cultural institutions, as well as hit the road to adventures beyond the city. Their special events focus on books, songs and include lots of laughs to show that Reading is FUN-damental! They especially want to support families with LGBTQ2S parent(s) and gender variant children, and read culturally diverse books, by providing a supportive and inclusive environment focused on fun. Everyone is welcome! JP (Fay) + Kaleb (Fluffy) are both drag performers and experienced child educators. By day JP is an educator with the TDSB. Kaleb is currently an independent Cultural Producer (DJ, performer, event host…), but is also a child care provider, and has worked as a “manny” for years, as well as formerly running a home daycare called the Trail Mix Playgroup (cuz we’re a little nutty but we’re good for you).
