D.ITTO

D.ITTO

Raised up from the testing streets of Rexdale, brewed in the juicy rhythms of Jamaican culture, and finding solace in the underground global dance scene, DITTO DAARK’s sound is more than just music—it’s a transcendent sonic voyage that blurs the lines between memories and dreams. DITTO blends an entrancing mix of Ghetto Bass, Hip Hop/R&B, House/Techno, experimental Afro-Caribbean beats, and intimately lush 160, all warped into something uniquely his – to reduce his sonic world to mere genres would be to confine a boundless force. His goal? To weave stories into the very fabric of sound, strumming heartstrings and leaving you feeling seen and wanting more. Having embarked on an expansive adventure with music, originating as a musician in the rock & metal scene, then found footing touring North America singing in tribute shows like Legends of Motown. To now, DJing for Toronto’s top queer lyricists Sydanie, and sharing the stage with legends like, DJ Heather, or the internationally-renowned, Anz, DITTO’s presence is magnetic—a true embodiment of the art of performance. A resident DJ with queer mainstay SmokedTO, and a founding member behind the rave collective Rent’s Due, DITTO commits to positively empowering marginalised voices in the Toronto scene – day and night. His kinetic energy and uncompromising stamina have seen him become a sought-after collaborator for festivals, fashion shows (StallionTO & Fashion Art Toronto), and community initiatives like The 519 & Progress Toronto that solidifies his commitment to empower marginalized voices. But DITTO DAARK is more than just a DJ—a sound technician, musician, dancer, vocalist, producer, songwriter — but when he steps into the booth, he becomes the music—bouncing, embodying the beat, always in synchronicity with the crowd. Driven by a relentless desire to create safe, inclusive spaces for Black and POC queers, DITTO's mission goes beyond entertainment, he’s driven to embolden the resistance. His belief in the transformative power of music is a vendetta against the constraints of our oppressive society—a reminder that we have the privilege to love freely, question our beliefs, and chase our dreams, all while living in a world of progress and possibility. Offstage, DITTO’s inspiration is anchored in a diverse array of passions—video games, literature, cinema, anime, and the power of authentic sexual expression—to craft sets that reflect the complex layers of his identity. Every track, every transition, is a piece of his soul, texturized and impeccably curated to evoke feelings of joy, release, and connection. DITTO DAARK’s impact echoes long after the last track fades.
