Pride 2022 program

Project Details

Pride Toronto is looking to secure installation artists to build on our Visual Art programming throughout the month of June bringing accessible and safe Pride programming to community members. The installations will be placed at high traffic spaces to increase visibility. The final locations of the work will be decided once the artists have been selected.

The pillars of Pride Toronto’s 2022 Festival are anti-racism and environmental sustainability. Please indicate how your proposal engages with these themes or utilizes them in the development of the artwork. This is not a requirement, but proposals that do connect with these tenets will be prioritized.

We encourage artists of all visual disciplines to apply. This includes but is not limited to painting, sculpture, collage, illustration, digital art, digital collage, photography, video art, installation art, projection and performance art. If you are a visual artist and wish to work with Pride Toronto, but do not feel their form is applicable to this project please contact the Art & Culture Coordinator, Jamie Nicholson jamie@pridetoronto.com as there may be further opportunities.

Once artists have been informed of approval, a final budget will be required by March 18, 2022. The selected artists will each receive 75% up front for project development and the remaining 25% upon completion of the exhibition and removal of the work by July 4, 2022.
