DJ Zehra

DJ Zehra is a community organizer/parent/music lover and a first-generation settler from the Trinidadian diaspora who grew up in their dad's roti shop living off of Soca, Calypso, Lover's Rock, Dancehall, Reggae and Chutney. They officially started DJing while organizing and fighting white supremacy at Queen's University. They have played at Blockorama at PRIDE Toronto, at numerous fundraisers, shows, events, soca fetes and centres her work in QTBIPOC community. They love being a parent to their 5 year old Surya who is growing up loving her queer and Caribbean community.
