Current Positions

Part-time – Contract Position.
20h/week to start,  $25.82. Start immediately – July 31, 2021. Three (3) year opportunity. 


Position Purpose

The Partnership Coordinator will assist the Director of Sponsorship & Strategy to oversee Pride Toronto’s external partner programs. External partner programs include securing relationships with business partners, not-for-profit organizations, third-party partners including major cultural and affiliate events. They will assist in securing new sponsors and registrants for the Parade and StreetFair as well as solicit in-kind sponsorship. 

Responsibilities

Business Partners Program, Not-for-Profit

  • Stand as the leading point of contact from Pride Toronto for all external inquiries related to businesses, not-for-profits, and events partnerships for Pride Toronto
  • Work with external stakeholders to identify partnership opportunities in alignment with Pride Toronto’s partnership program and agreements 
  • Create solicitation and outreach materials alongside the Marketing & Branding Manager 
  • Oversee all administrative tasks related to the production of the Business Vendor portal 
  • Participate or manage meetings with prospects
  • Develop partnership contracts outlining secured programming and associated benefits 
  • Work with the festival operations, programming, and marketing departments and ensure they are aware of all secured partnerships and collect information necessary for partnership execution

Solicitation- In-kind Donations, Parade, StreetFair, & Marketing Opportunities

  • Assist in identifying new partners in alignment with Pride Toronto’s strategic objectives and mission, vision, and values
  • Oversee and stand as the main point of contact for all Category E parade participants and businesses interested in participating in the StreetFair
  • Ensure all administrative tasks are completed by external partners to secure participation in the 2021 Festival 
  • Ensure all benefits are provided to partners and provide supporting documents post-festival 
  • Ensure all invoicing and payments are completed 
  • Assist in in-kind sponsorship program development and solicitation 
  • Provide partners with exclusive paid marketing and promotional opportunities
  • Identify new revenue-generating opportunities   

Administration

  • Assist in maintaining legacy document creation 
  • Ensure financial reconciling is complete and in accordance with Pride Toronto’s procedures
  • Update reporting tracking documents 
  • Provide administrative support where required
  • Respond to correspondences with stakeholders/partners in a timely manner 

Qualification

  • Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and ability to work and comfort with communicating effectively with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Excellent facilitation and project management skills including the definition of project purpose and objectives, project activities, milestones and deliverables, and monitoring and tracking progress
  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining cross-departmental program/service delivery teams
  • Experience in the planning, development, and implementation of events
  • Ability to multitask effectively and meet competing deadlines for internal and external partners using a customer-centric approach
  • Community engagement experience an asset 
  • Meaningful connections to people from various and marginalized backgrounds
  • Project management an asset
  • Five (5) years in an administrative background who is highly organized

  • This position may also require you to work flexible hours especially during the festival weekend and/or be available on weekends/evenings as needed
  • This position is a contract role that will be held between January-July each year. The candidate, if successful in the role, will have the first right of refusal for the position for the following two (2) years. Please note, this role is dependent on the continued funding and needs of the organization.
  • The position may require additional hours throughout the employment timeframe.
