Maggie's Toronto Sex Workers Action Project and Strapped TO launched "The Strap House", a queer Black virtual event series prioritizing Black sex workers and supporting them through the pandemic. We run monthly strip teases that feature queer and trans Black entertainers, pay them and uplift their content platforms. Our June event is a virtual porn festival celebrating queer and trans Black sex workers that will feature 10 submissions from local sex workers. At the event we will screen their videos and interview them for our audience. The event features a series of prizes based on different styles/categories of performance that submissions compete for (based on audience vote), but all performers are compensated for their time and participation in the event.
