ABOUT THIS EVENT

Pride 2025 is a vibrant celebration of unity, strength, and unwavering solidarity within our diverse community. It serves as a powerful reminder that every one of us belongs—whether our ancestors walked these lands centuries ago, we found refuge here after being forcibly displaced, or we chose this place as our home. In 2025, we are “All In”—all in for joy, for love, for resilience, and for the continued fight for freedom. Together, we rise, united in our collective pride, as we honor our past, embrace our present, and forge a future where everyone is celebrated. All in for each other, and all in for our shared vision of equality.

Brayo Bryans

Brayo Bryans

I am Brayo Bryans, an artist who has always used creativity as a powerful tool for advocacy, healing, and change. My music is deeply intertwined with my activism, rooted in the experiences of the LGBTQ+ community in Uganda and beyond. Through my journey as a musician, performer, and composer, I have always sought to amplify marginalized voices and provide a platform for self-expression. As the founder of Talented Ugandan Kuchus (TUK), I brought together talented LGBTQ+ Ugandans to use music as a vehicle for social justice. I composed The Kuchu Anthem, now recognized as the Ugandan LGBTQ+ movement’s song, a testament to our resilience and pride. Over the years, I have honed my craft by blending genres and creating songs that tell authentic stories of struggle, hope, and triumph. Since relocating to Canada with the support of Rainbow Railroad, I have continued to grow both as an artist and an advocate. Beyond music, I have always been dedicated to creating impactful visual and artistic projects. From composing for documentary films like Call Me Kuchu to directing my visual stories, I aim to combine art and activism seamlessly. My music and performances inspire others to embrace their identities and find strength in their narratives. With my unique blend of activism and artistry, I am committed to making a positive impact, and I look forward to continuing this journey with your support.

Kenya Rami

Kenya Rami

Kenya Rami is a fun, creative, and unapologetically BLACK drag artist. Originally from Thunder Bay, she has been doing drag for 7 years, all over Ontario. Kenya uses drag to share a message, whether that be of fun, comedy, kindness, or to highlight issues and injustices, striving to make her drag impactful to those watching. As a black queer activist they have worked on amplifying the voices of racialized youth on the local, provincial and national levels through their work with organizations such as UNICEF, RBC Future Launch, the 519, the United Nations and the Caribbean African Multicultural Association of Canada. Kenya often performs upbeat pop and rap numbers, getting the crowd pumped!
