Franco Grillini is the founder of ArciGay and a pioneer of the Italian LGBTQ movement from Bologna, Emilia Romagna. Grillini’s path shows the growth and evolution of the Italian LGBTQ movement connecting it to love, politics and life: Let’s Kiss, the documentary portraying his life, directed by Filippo Vendemmiati and produced by GenomaFilms, is an in-depth look at the fascinating life of a pioneer of equality rights and also a vivid perspective on the Italian LGBTQ movement.

Let’s Kiss won the Nastri d’Argento 2022 (Italian movie critics awards) and the Berlin Italian Film Festival. “Let’s Kiss, Toronto!” is the first Canadian screening of the documentary: with Franco Grillini and director Filippo Vendemmiati in attendance, it offers Toronto an open and candid conversation on the history of Lgbtq rights movement in Italy.
