Event Details

FIT PRIMPIN represents the collaborative efforts of two of Toronto’s best-loved LGBT dance parties, FIT and BIG PRIMPIN, which between them have over 20 years experience providing safe, inclusive dance events for the LGBT community.

Now in its 10th year, FIT PRIMPIN is one of the most popular and respected independent Pride events in the city, attracting Torontonians across a broad spectrum of sexual orientations and racial identities.

Every year we seek out venues in neighbourhoods beyond the Church Street core, in order to help spread the celebration of diversity that is Pride throughout the city. Past locations have included The Great Hall, 99 Sudbury, Steamwhistle Brewery, and The Harbourfront Centre, where our event was the cornerstone of their Pride-related cultural programming.

In addition to building bridges between communities locally and providing an alternative to more mainstream Pride parties for those who seek it, we are also very proud to invite LGBT performing artists from abroad for their debut appearances in Toronto, indeed in Canada, with every edition of the event.

We are especially excited to be able to return with an event this year, after a two-year COVID hiatus, to provide a space for LGBT people to gather and reconnect as a community after so much time apart.
