The oral sharing of stories, narratives, and histories has long been a vital part of a culture’s development. But the Sunday edition of Proud Voices gives traditional storytelling motifs a colourful, contemporary twist when queer storytellers impart their wisdom and experiences. Yukon golden child Ivan E. Coyote takes listeners on a wild road trip. Storytelling siren Anna Camilleri (and Coyote’s former Taste This accomplice) explores gender and femininity. Rico Rodriguez’s folktales, fairytales, and histories draw from Latin and Hispanic cultures.
