Dyke March Honoured Dyke or Honoured Group Nomination Application & Form

2008 Pride Toronto Honoured Dyke or Honoured Group
Nomination Application

Should You Or Someone You Know Be This Year's Honoured Dyke?

Every year Pride Toronto's Dyke March features an Honoured Dyke and Honoured Group; the 2008 Toronto Dyke March Committee is now accepting nominations for these roles.

The Honourees will lead the 2008 Toronto Dyke March to be held on Saturday June 28th. The selection of any group or individual is a statement from our LGBTTIQQ2S communities, recognizing and celebrating their achievements and/or supporting their ongoing struggles.

You must have the permission of the person or group you are nominating.

  Nominees must:

  1. Reflect the theme of Pride 2008: Unified
  2. Demonstrate leadership, achievement and/or contribution in the struggle for acceptance, equality, visibility, awareness and human rights for our LGBTTIQQ2S communities.
  3. Embody and exemplify Pride Toronto’s mission, vision and values
  4. Reflect the rich heritage, history and diversity of our communities

Voting will take place at the Pride Toronto Public General Meeting on Tuesday January 29, 2008 at the 519 Church Street Community Centre Auditorium at 7pm.

Nominations are due by the end of the day January 25th, 2008.
