Parade & Marches

Each year Pride Toronto is pleased to offer three unique opportunity for members of the community to make their voices heard.

How long have the Marches and Parade been around?

The first Pride march happened in July of 1972 and the first under Pride Toronto was in 1981 in response to the Bathhouse Raids.

In 1996 the first ever Dyke March is held, with a turnout on Saturday of 5,000.

In 2009 the first ever Trans March is held on Church Street.
