Kabbalat Shabbat Service & Shabbat Dinner
Please join Congregation Shir Libeynu as we joyfully celebrate the coming of the sabbath at our pride filled, welcoming of the Sabbath service. Our liberal, inclusive and participatory Kabbalat Shabbat will incorporate the many themes of the Sabbath as well as affirming the experiences of the LGBTQ individuals from around the world. Come experience in song and community a Shir Libeynu ‘song of our hearts’ celebration.
Our service will be held in the chapel on the third floor of the Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre at the corner of Spadina Avenue and Bloor Street. All are welcome. Free childcare will be provided.
After the service, at 8:45pm, you are invited to join Kulanu Toronto and other Jewish organizations for a delicious, vegetarian Kosher Shabbat Dinner in Room 318 of the Miles Nadal JCC. A minimum donation of $10 is requested to cover the cost of the meal. Israeli wine will be served, and we’ll have a DJ playing some great tunes after the meal to kick off the start of WorldPride!
Please RSVP for the service and/or Shabbat Dinner by Monday, June 16 at 5pm to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Payment for Shabbat Dinner is online at www.kulanutoronto.ca
* If you are unable to pay online, please let us know when you RSVP, and we will collect your payment at the door by cash or cheque (made out to “Kulanu Toronto”).
