Just Gimme Indie!
South Stage, Saturday, June 27
Runs from 8 pm to midnight

Youthful sextet Hooded Fang start us off with their effortless sound. After contributing to the soundtrack of Shortbus, Gentleman Reg brings his heavenly voice to the festival before Kids on TV get nasty with their dirty beats (who also have their co-produced film showing as part of the P/E/D program, see page 38). To finish the night off, Islands show us why they are forever and DJ Triple-X plays resident DJ for the night spinning all your favourites.
SCHEDULE:

10:00 pm Kids on TV
11:00 pm Islands
Hooded Fang
For the finest in shameless plundering of all musical genres, watch this crew rightfully hung up on crafting the perfect pop tune.
Gentleman Reg
Fresh off a North American tour. He swoons us into oblivion with songs off his new album, Jet Black (2009). Recently signed to one of Toronto¹s best labels, Arts & Crafts, this album sees him growing as an artist, taking it further, experimenting more and minding his manners less.
Kids On TV
Toronto's own KIDS ON TV references many elements of queer history and the artists who inspire them. KOTV have played with Gang of Four, Crystal Castles, Ladytron, and Lesbians on Ecstasy, and organize events in Toronto in bath houses, ware houses, and school houses.
Islands
Their first album "Return To The Sea" featured numerous guest appearances from the likes of Arcade Fire and Wolf Parade. Their last album, Arm's Way takes you madly into guitar dance-rock.
