Dance Yourself to Death
Sir Elton John was so taken aback by this band's addictive hooks and heart-tugging melodies, he cast DYTD to play in the prom scene of It's A Boy Girl Thing, including their music on the film's soundtrack. They have shared stages with everyone from Canadian critics' faves Mother Mother and the Hidden Cameras to international stars like Peaches, Uh Huh Her and the Indigo Girls.
Ferron
is a Canadian folk singer/songwriter and poet. In addition to being one of Canada's most prominent folk musicians, she is also one of the most influential writers and performers of women's music, influencing later musicians such as Ani DiFranco, Mary Gauthier and the Indigo Girls.
d'bi.young and dubbin.revolushun.gangstars
is a 7 member dancehall.rock.band mouth-pieced by the fierce punk rock/political/word warrior/dancehall queen d'bi.young. d'bi takes on issues like misogyny, homophobia, and gender typecasting.
The Cliks
The Cliks follow up the success of their debut album, Snakehouse, with the release of Dirty King, a rich rock extravaganza. After having performed on Cindy Lauper¹s 2008 True Colors Tour which featured Margaret Cho, The Gossip and The Dresden Dolls, and joining The Cult for their 2008 tour, The Cliks come home to rock your heart out.
