Family Pride fearlessly returned with a rich and exciting line-up of events on Saturday and Sunday of Pride Week.

Proudly supported by the Procter & Gamble, Family Pride is an oasis and a destination for families of all kinds. The Saturday and Sunday of Pride Week, Family Pride sets up camp on the grounds of the Church Street Junior Public School (South east corner of Church Street and Alexander Street) offering inclusive, family-friendly activities and events. From crafts and games, to face painting and live children's entertainment, there are all kinds of fun for the entire family. Activity hours for both days are from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.

  • Annual Picnic presented by the LGBT parenting network on Saturday, June 23th

  Family Pride is organized by the Family Pride Committee, in collaboration with community partners, such as the LGBT Parenting Network and the 519’s Queer Parenting Programmes. What is Family Pride?
A destination for families, Family Pride provides a child-friendly and interactive space for families to enjoy Pride Week with family-oriented activities and entertainment.

How many people attend Family Pride?
Family Pride draws an estimated 1500 adults, kids, toddlers, and infants — with over fifty strollers “competing” for “parking spaces.” Throughout the weekend, Family Pride sees a steady flow of attendance that is growing every year.

Can anyone attend Family Pride?
Family Pride offers events and activities that are family oriented. Families of all configurations are welcome.

Where does Family Pride take place?
Family Pride events and activities take place on the grounds of the Church Street Junior Public School, located at the south-west corner of the Church and Alexander Street intersection.

Are daycare services provided at Family Pride?
No, daycare services are not provided. However, programming and activities at Family Pride allow ample opportunities for families to spend time together and interacting with other families. Access to the school buildings is provided for washroom and ability-friendly change facilities for babies and toddlers.
