35 Years of AIDS Activism
The LGBTIQ+ community’s fierce commitment to AIDS activism over the past 35 years has led to massive strides in the fight against HIV/AIDS. The movement has fostered the conversation about safer sex, educated our communities and has fought for access to treatment, reducing stigma and supporting decriminalization. AIDS activism proves we can make change, we now have rapid drug approvals and patient consultation for treatment plans. The progress has been astounding but – despite it all – we need to do more.
